The Story of a Life of Lie.

All his life, he had been favored, he came to believe in the supernatural as there was no other way to explain his good fortune. As a kid, he always got the best even in odd circumstances. Some would say the heavens had smiled on him, others would say it is mere coincidence while the rest believed it was the hand of fate, after all, que sera sera, so no matter what, it is planned already… but all along, he always knew there was more to his story, even if he couldn’t quite place his hand on it.And as he grew, people started expecting so much from him, saying to whom much is given, much is also expected. The fear of being a disappointment made him creat a character for all, what they all expected of him, the image of a happy, obedient and quiet child with a facade of a smile always on his face. It became hard to be himself around people and the real him began to withdraw only to come out when he is alone, bbut even with that he could not trust himself to be himself with himself.
Loved ones expected something different from him, so much he got scared to let them down those who look to him to make them proud. There was no doubt he was richly blessed, he hand the ‘hand of God’ on him. Being raised in a tough circumstance and living a life you could hardly call tough would make you believe that. But the responsibility, the expectations of the people were overwhelming. He lived each day in fear of being a disappointment but all everyone saw was a smile and a happy face.

And then the lie continued for years, living a lie and going about trying to be who he was expected to be… Sadly, along the way, he forgot who he was and then the trouble started; trying to find who he was and still live the life wanted of him. He was torn. He needed someone he could be sane with, someone he could trust enough to be comfortable with so that his true self could surface. He was going crazy as the tumult was growing bigger within him. There must be a way out, he often told himself; How can you find yourself when living a lie, but then how can you be yourself at the risk of losing everything dearest to you.

He needed a way out fast, he was lost in a lie, trapped in a deadly reverie. He’s torn, he’s broken, but they’ll never know, they’ll never see the real him, for that ‘him’ is lost within a lie like in limbo. He cannot give up, though, he has to find the one who will break the chain of lies, the one who can turn the curse into a gift and bring out the real him… Until then all everyone will see is a sweet charming smile, a blessed favored man, who is living the life everyone expects of him.
