Something Different

The thought of being ordinary scares me; thinking like everyone, cliché moves and comments…ordinary and common. Makes me strive to be unique and distinct, my own man. Some may call it weird, others eccentric…. I call it ‘different’.

The word itself sounds common these days ’cause of constant abuse, but that doesn’t change the fact that it is not. The rise of different views and thoughts comes from the minds of ‘different’ persons, whose minds have not been adulterated by the simpletons who do the same old, ordinary things.

I use ‘simpletons’, not to ridicule but to differentiate two alike people with different ways of thinking. When juxtaposing ordinary and different, different doesn’t have to be extra-ordinary, not in this context, the major difference is the fact that one refuses to be the same.

I crave to reach that level of difference, daily striving to be unique, and stand out by the way I let my mind work.
