Humanity, Our Last Hope

Everything seems to be happening so fast… Or rather, I’m beginning to notice how fast things are happening. And while they are happening so fast, it turns out it’s still the same thing. The same lies, the same games, the same words, the same politics, the same corruption, the same noise…all the same.

But now, it’s becoming so loud and so much and so fast because a lot of people are joining and outside there is just chaos. Everything seems to be in a constant state of disarray and everybody is just trying to get by and make a good life for themselves.

But you know what the problem is? Everyone thinks they are so damn smart, gallivanting about with squared shoulders and big mouths, not caring about who gets hurt while they are out ‘hustling’ as long as they are good.

It gets clearer each day that human beings are indeed the most dangerous animals God ever put on earth. And when the canopy of ‘humanity’ shielding the wolf in us from the light of the full moon is taken off, then all hell breaks loose.

I think it all lies in us keeping the animal in check. It all lies in us remembering we are one big family and are connected in more ways than we know. It all lies in caring for others even as we care for ourselves. Because in the end, our humanity is what will save us.

  1. One wonders how much worse it could get. Meanwhile, I wonder how a smaller kitchen trash bag is promoted as a “new technology.” Kind of like the new smaller roll of toilet paper must also be a new benefit to the consumer. (First they took 1/4″ off the width of the roll, with the next idea being to produce it with a bigger hole in the middle. I supposed these SMALL things don’t matter when you pay someone else to keep them replaced. My point is, the whole corporate structure is designed to see where they can make more money on the backs of the middle/lower class consumer – because they still can’t seem to make ENOUGH.
